Minister Larry Akins

Greeting to you brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our faith. My name is Minister Larry Akins and I’m very blessed and proud to be part of the Anointed Prayer Partners Ministry Inc. The divine intervention of God came upon me when I was in my teachable twenties. I was called into the ministry approximately 25 years ago under the leadership of Rev Taylor from the Church of Promise Land. I wanted to be sure that this was the calling of God. As I set out on a proof mission talking with God daily in prayer, and asking that he would give some special sign for me to recognize and accept his calling, I found myself sick for several days in the bed suffering with the flu bug. I was very weak. God spoke to me that Sunday morning and told me get up, get dress and go to church. When I got there he was going to fill me up with his holy spirit and I would received the power from up high. He was going to give me the gift of healing and laying hands on his people, praying and interceding in behalf of others.

I received my Ministries Licenses from the Apostolic Church of Jesus Inc. I attended Faith Covenant Theological Seminary for two years, and received my national Ministries License under the leadership and guidance’s of Dr. Steve Johnson, who is a the Pastor and Certified Life Coach, at Faith Covenant Theological Seminary in Palm Harbor, Florida. I knew when I read St Luke 4:18 that the spirit of the Lord was upon me, I knew then that the Lord had anointed me to preach the gospel to his people. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to his captives, recovery of the sight to the blind, and to set at liberty them that are bruised. The joy of my ministry is winning souls to Christ and to bring non believer who are willing to confess faith in the church of the Lord, to be Baptist while experiencing new birth. I want to tell my good people that Prayer is not an option in a Christians Life, It’s a necessity. Ask the Lord for help through prayer and accept yourself, Love yourself now and forever. The Bible tells us that prayer is the way to defeat the enemy; Luke 22:31-32 “and the Lord said Simon, Simon behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat”, James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. People of God always remember this about Prayer, when we are constantly seeking our Lord in prayer, we must align ourselves with his wishes and desires, we are no longer programmed to see what he wants, but we see what God wants. We turn our control of our life to the Lord and we must do his will. In prayer we pour out to him our joy and anguish and petition for ourselves and others, and by faith we know he hears and responds to our cry. Why is it that some people are often in a place of worship and yet they’re not Holy? It is because they neglect their prayer closet, they love wheat, but they did not grind it, they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it. The fruit hangs on the tree, but they will not pluck it, the water flows at their feet, but they will not stop to drink.

When I first started this walk with GOD it was not easy. All who knew me thought I had lost my mind and was just walking around acting crazy, talking in tongue, and being loud and obnoxious. But what they did not understand is that GOD was preparing me for just what I am doing now. GOD wanted me to put “Prayer into Action”. He also allow me to see when one door closes another door opens.

Our foundation is to believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved- you and your household Acts 16:31, Your intimate communication of prayer with the Lord, gives you the knowledge that GOD understands all our thoughts, words, deeds and let’s not forget action. Prayer is GOD surrounding us with his presence, giving us comfort and peace. Ephesians 6:18, it states we must Pray without Ceasing and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 we must Pray Continually. The scripture are filled with reminders that we should ALWAYS communicate with GOD. We must surrender ourselves daily in prayer, in all our waking moments and at night in our quiet hour, constantly thinking of our Redeemer and of our relationship with Him.

As I take this journey with you, I pray constantly because the Bible commands it. My purpose is to please GOD and to be used for His purpose. The only way I know to do this is to place myself under his Authority, the power of Jesus Christ. Today I say to you I have place myself under His Leadership and authority, I am following the path that he has instructed me to do. Let’s continue our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, and says “To GOD be the glory for the things He has done in our lives and in this circle of prayer.” I was called to the ministry 15 years ago, and I accepted the calling to the ministry under the leadership of Dr. Randy Moore.
